About Toto
Toto was formed in the year 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also famous studio musicians working with Boz Scaggs) and bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. The group took their name from the Latin word that means "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore all styles of music.
The third album from Toto, Turn Back, was an unfulfilling success in 1981. However they made amends with their fourth album, Isolation, which contained two hit songs with the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour make them a household name throughout the world.

The lead singer Fergie Frederiksen is let go and replaced by Joseph Williams, son of the legendary film composer John Williams and 1950s actress Barbara Ruick. Joseph is an easier frontman than Frederiksen and gives the band a needed boost.
