Earlier this year, the EA FC 24 Coins publisher was thought to have expressed'concern' over a new law in the US that would prohibit the selling of Ultimate Team packs.Speaking to Eurogamer, FC 24 creative Director Matt Prior revealed that he was mindful of the laws, but maintained that the company does not believe the controversial manner is gambling. "I won't speak of any future plans, but what I will say is -- I understand there is legislation talking about a few of these things, especially related to betting -- we do not feel what we have in Ultimate Team is betting" he explained.
"Actually there's organisations which stand by us who don't agree with that as well so, we know that that is happening in politics across the world. We react to that if, for some reason, we had been deemed not to be legal. "But what we put out every single season we stand behind and we don't think it's gambling, we think that it's a fun form of engagement for people to be able to interact using a video game at a fairly cool way. It would be a shame if the planet deemed something else as far as we're concerned!"
FC 24 saw the introduction of House Rules, refreshed tactics and timed completing, but even thus, EA was made to launch a run patch updates to correct its faults since release. Things got so bad that the Bleacher Report re-reviewed FC 24 and fell its inspection rating from 8.5/10 to 5.5/10.
We all expect that FC 24 can fix those defects and become the game. After EA Play at E3, the news of FC 24 was released together with the franchise revisiting street soccer.
